CARDIOEMPORDÀ

Traditional cardiology consultation

It always includes a clinical interview aimed at the patient’s reason for consultation, physical examination with cardiac and respiratory auscultation and the performance of a 12-lead electrocardiogram.

Personalized medical review

Personalized review of the case and medical conditions, with detailed explanations and resolution of doubts.

Cardiac test analysis

Analysis and explanation of results of cardiological tests such as 24-hour Holter, ABPM, echocardiogram, CT angio, stress test, coronary angiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.

Adjustment of pharmacological treatment

Adjustment and optimization of current pharmacological treatments.

Cardiological Tests

  • 12-Lead Electrocardiogram (ECG): Records the heart’s electrical activity from different perspectives. The test is performed by placing 10 electrodes at specific points on the body, providing 12 leads, each representing a different view of the heart’s electrical activity. It is a fundamental diagnostic tool for identifying cardiac disorders such as arrhythmias, conduction abnormalities, ischemia, myocardial infarction, and for the initial assessment of possible cardiomyopathies and cardiac hypertrophy.

  • Color Doppler Echocardiogram: Uses ultrasound technology to obtain images of the heart, evaluating its structure and function while detecting potential valvular or muscular abnormalities.

  • Exercise Stress Test (Ergometry): Assesses the heart’s response to physical exercise, helping diagnose coronary artery disease and determine the patient’s functional capacity.

  • 24-Hour Holter Monitoring: Continuous recording of the heart’s electrical activity over a 24-hour period to detect arrhythmias or ischemic episodes that may not be evident on a standard ECG.

  • 24-Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM): Measures blood pressure continuously over a 24-hour period, helping diagnose hypertension, rule out white coat syndrome, assess circadian blood pressure variations, and evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed antihypertensive treatments.

These diagnostic tests provide a comprehensive assessment of cardiovascular health, enabling the early detection of heart conditions and the implementation of appropriate preventive and therapeutic strategies.
