Integrative Cardiology Consultation
What is the new Integrative Cardiology consultation?
It is a Cardiology consultation that combines traditional cardiological assessment with complementary therapies based on scientific evidence, with the aim of treating the person holistically. The disease is treated at a physical level, but also the psychosocial and emotional factors that influence…
Improving habits
Lifestyle habits are assessed, with prescription of healthy practices to improve cardiovascular health and general well-being.
Nutritional advice
Nutritional recommendations are given based on the most recent scientific evidence.
Listening space
It is a safe space for active listening and there is a genuine interest in improving health status.
Changes in habits
Comprehensive habit changes are proposed to support well-being.
Personalized supplementation
Supplementation needs are assessed, adapted to each specific situation.
Therapies used in Integrative Cardiology
- Traditional cardiology. Drugs, assessment of the need for surgery and newer percutaneous techniques, indication for rehabilitation.
- Complementary therapies with scientific evidence. Mindfulness and anti-inflammatory nutrition.
- Stress management techniques. Yoga and meditation.

In the field of Cardiology, this approach is especially useful in diseases related to stress, such as cardiac arrhythmias and chronic diseases with an associated inflammatory component, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, chronic ischemic heart disease, heart failure and obesity.
Cardiological Tests
12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG): Records the electrical activity of the heart from different perspectives. It is performed by placing 10 electrodes at specific points on the body. They allow 12 leads to be obtained, each of which represents a different view of the electrical activity of the heart. It is a fundamental test for diagnosing heart disorders such as arrhythmias, alterations in the electrical conduction of the heart, ischemia, myocardial infarctions and initial assessment of possible cardiomyopathies/hypertrophies.
Color Doppler echocardiogram: Uses ultrasound to obtain images of the heart, evaluating its structure and function, detecting possible valvular or muscular abnormalities.
Stress test (Ergometry): Evaluates the heart’s response to physical exercise, helping to diagnose coronary diseases and determine the patient’s functional capacity.
24-hour cardiac Holter: Continuous monitoring for 24 hours of the electrical activity of the heart, to detect arrhythmias or ischemic episodes that are not evident in a conventional ECG.
24h ABPM/Holter BP: Records blood pressure for 24 hours, allowing to diagnose hypertension, rule out White Coat Syndrome, as well as evaluate its circadian variation and its control with the pharmacological treatments used.
These tests allow a comprehensive assessment of the cardiovascular status, facilitating the early detection of pathologies and the implementation of appropriate preventive and therapeutic strategies.
